Some people would call this page the “Blog Roll”, I call this the “Reading List”; which is the place where I highlight what I read.
Blogs:
- The Daily Kos – My favorite website and my current homepage. Probably the best website for progressive politics. Updates frequently, plenty of awesome sections/writers and great input from contributors. I somewhat model this site off dKos.
- FiveThirtyEight – Nate Silver’s polling/stats website is a must-read for any political junkie who is more interested in how things affect the numbers as opposed to pure policy-related activity.
- Ezra Klein’s WonkBlog - Easy to read charts on not-so-easy to understand topics. Ezra Klein does an amazing job at Wonk Blog and if you haven’t read the MSNBC contributor’s site before, now is the perfect time to start.
- Crooks & Liars - I am forever grateful for C&L for linking my blog and being the sole reason that I had the most hits our site had in one day. A great place for progressives to hang out.
Books:
- Nixonland – by Rick Perlstein
- Twilight Of The Elites – by Chris Hayes
- Our Divided Political Heart – by EJ Dionne
- Drift – by Rachel Maddow
- RFK: His Life – by Evan Thomas
